For all young people who desire to be pretty or handsome, graceful, well-mannered, and admired.

The elements taught in our etiquette course are based on the book, White Gloves and Party Manners, which was written in 1965 by Marjabelle Young and Ann Buchwald.  Based on old-fashioned principles and applied to  current times, it is for all young girls and boys who would like to learn to be more self-confident, attractive, well-mannered, and admired.  Topics in the course include proper communication, table manners, party etiquette, expected behavior in public, and grooming.

She is a certified K-8 teacher who has a passion for teaching children. She taught middle school for 8 years and is currently substitute teaching in a local elementary school.

    We will discuss test taking skills and strategies, review of instructions, timing techniques, guessing, avoidance of common mistakes and development of positive thinking. We will have timed practices and then review them. Our teacher is  an expert in grammar prep for ACT/SAT tests and he has taught many prep classes to raise student scores on the ACT/SAT tests.

    5 days, 2 hours a day.

    Date and Time:  Monday-Friday, June 21- 25, 5:00-7:00 pm

    Tuition: $150

    Class Description: This is for students ages 13-18. Develop teens own self-identity and build confidence, cognitive abilities and self-esteem. Learn the necessary social and leadership skills to handle a variety of situations including peer pressure, dealing with drugs, alcohol, and family issues with confidence. We will teach you how to make your best impression while feeling comfortable and self-assured in every social situation. Teach teens the essential tools to succeed personally and professionally.

    This program includes: learning your behavioral strengths and weaknesses; how to interact with friends; peer pressure, drugs and alcohol prevention; dealing with family conflicts; presenting yourself with confidence;  mastering the art of conversation and good listening skills; dating etiquette (asking someone out, being asked out, breaking up and rudeness); how to dress for success; dinning etiquette; posturing and positioning.

    A tutorial dinner will be held in an upscale restaurant.

    Grade: 5th-12th

    Class 1: May 31- June 4, 10:30 am - noon, dress up dinner in the evening of June 4.

    Class 2: June 7 – June 11, 10:30 am – noon, dress up dinner in the evening of  June 11.

    Tuition: $230  dinner included

    $10 discount for the second student, $20 discount for the third student in the family.

    Benefiting every middle and high school student, this class will teach the power of saving and investing, and basic skills in the management of personal finances.  Our instructor is Dr. Jeff Hamsley, who is a certified Financial Peace University counselor, whose teaching experience includes topics such as banks, investments, insurance, stocks, credit cards, and financial aid for college. We also have two additional instructors: a CEO of a local Credit Union and an Investment Officer from First Tennessee. Becoming financially savvy is an indispensable part of every young person’s education, to be money-wise from the start instead of stumbling through their lives learning by trial and error.

    Class 1:  Jun 21 Mon – Jun 25 Friday, 10:30-noon

    Class 2: Jun 28 Mon – July 2 Friday, 10:30-noon

    Class 3:  July 5 Mon – July 9 Friday, 10:30-noon

    Class 4:  July 12 Mon – July 16 Friday, 10:30-noon

    Location:   TBA, in Collierville

    We will learn to speak Chinese together, tutor math for each individual student at his or her level, cook healthy Chinese food for lunch, introduce playing piano to young students,  practice his/her lessons if your child is already a piano player, play sports outside, swing under the big oak trees, …,  and watch the bunny, the duck (his name is TigerTom)  and baby chickens run on our beautiful six acres of land.

    Age: 4-14

    Dates/Time:  Monday-Friday, June 7-11, 9:00 am – 4:00pm

    Tuition: $150 , $10 discount for each additional student in the same family.

    Class Description:  A hands on introductory Java programming class teaches a series of concepts and skills including how programs work, installing the JDK, basic Java input, output, arithmetic, and logic operations,  how to create a program on your PC.  Taught by Mr. Carl Hardeman who is an experienced programmer at FedEx and has years of experience teaching computer programming classes at the college level.

    Objective:
    Students will leave the class having written a program to run on their PC to read data from the keyboard, design calculations, and display the results.

    Students:
    Anyone who is familiar with basic algebra concepts and basic Windows operating system functions such as creating and reading files in folders.

    Required materials:
    Students need to have access to a laptop PC with the Java JDK installed and the Textpad product installed. Both are downloadable freeware. Instructions will be given to have this done before the first class meeting. There is no INTERNET access in the classroom, and it is not needed.

    Class 1:  June 7 – 11, 4:00-6:00 pm

    Class2:  June 14 – 18, 4:00-6:00 pm

    Tuition: $400, with a $100 discount for 2nd family member. Students can also get a $50 reduction for each additional student they recruit at full price.

    We will teach you all about protecting your online kids of all ages. We will show you how to block questionable websites and monitor kids’ time online. We will puts YOU in control of the Internet so you can protect your kids.
